A Humble Start in Beaumont
Hiren Patel purchased his first independent motel in Beaumont, Texas. With hands-on dedication and a keen eye for value-add improvements, he built a reputation centered on clean, dependable stays and consistent, guest-focused operations.

A Fresh Start in Winnie, TX
Monik Patel arrived in the small town of Winnie, just outside Beaumont, and began working night shifts as a Night Auditor at a local Days Inn. His passion for hospitality and quick learning led to a promotion to Assistant General Manager in a short time. Even as he took on more responsibility, his favorite shift remained the mid-shift, where he thrived in sales and guest engagement.
Gaining Experience, Seeking Ownership
While working full-time in hospitality, Monik also pursued side gigs like ride-sharing, saving and planning for hotel ownership. He remained committed to learning every facet of the business, while actively seeking the right opportunity to invest in.

The Partnership Begins
That opportunity arrived with Motel 6 Beaumont, where Monik and Hiren Patel partnered for the first time. The deal closed swiftly, and the two—known in Gujarati as “Fuwa-Batrija”—entered the franchise hotel space with a shared vision for growth and quality.
Motel 6 Winnie Joins the Family
Just months later, the team acquired Motel 6 Winnie, expanding their footprint and reinforcing their commitment to reliable, brand-driven hospitality in Southeast Texas.

Recognizing the growing demand for extended-stay options, The Duo acquired Merit Inn & Suites. With studio-style layouts and kitchenettes, the property caters to longer-term guests seeking comfort, value, and flexibility.
Harmony Hotels Is Born
As the portfolio expanded, so did the need for a unified identity. Harmony Hotels was formally launched—a management company rooted in family values, financial integrity, and operational consistency, designed to serve both guests and property owners with heart and expertise.
